To make your jewelry last a lifetime and beyond, certain care should be taken in the wearing, cleaning and storing of each piece.  With that said...

• Make your jewelry be the last thing you put on  -  be careful about chemicals in hairspray, cosmetics, or perfume.
• Take your jewelry off at the end of every day and store it in the sache/case in which it was sent.
• Do not sleep or bathe while wearing your jewelry.
• Be sure to remove jewelry prior to swimming or immersing it in water and/or soap.
• Avoid soaking in water or using heat steamers, jewelry cleaners or ultrasonic cleaners.  
• Fashion jewelry jeweler cement is often used to create fashion jewelry, and special precautions should be taken when cleaning these pieces.  Lightly wipe your jewelry weekly with a soft, clean, soap free, damp cloth to clear dust and debris from the surface.  Ensure that your jewelry is completely dry using a soft, clean, and dry cloth.
• Rhodium finished pieces only need to be wiped with a soft cotton cloth to remove any spots.  Do NOT use silver polishes at all on these pieces. Remember rhodium will not tarnish!
• Store each piece of gemstone jewelry separately so that harder stones don't scratch softer ones.  Almost every gemstone is much harder than the metal it is set in.  Gems can scratch the finish on your gold, silver or platinum if you throw your jewelry in a heap in a drawer or jewelry box.
• To restore tarnished silver, simply polish it with a silver polishing cloth.


Care of Sterling Silver Jewelry

Your sterling silver jewelry will last forever when properly cared for!   We recommend that you store your sterling silver jewelry in a cloth pouch, or in a separate compartment in your jewelry box, to protect the pieces from scratching.  Put your jewelry on your body after applying hairspray or perfumes.  You must never expose your jewelry to household chemicals or chlorinated water.  These chemicals can do damage to the silver over time.  Tarnish will build up on your sterling silver jewelry, especially on pieces that you don’t wear often.  This tarnish is easily removed when lightly rubbing with a silver polishing cloth that you can easily keep handy.   You can also use a fine silver polish or solutions that you can find at most jewelry or home decorating/apparel stores.

For deep scratches that you might get on your sterling silver jewelry, you should seek the advise of a qualified jeweler in your area.  A professional buffing might alleviate those scratches.
